Today I recived a letter from a collection agency I have a medical
condition what can they do? It almost 5 years . One of the
collection agiences is Houston Funding II LTD I think they are
scammers they are trying to get me to pay for debt that is about 5
years old and the satue of limtations is 4 years and my credit report
is there anything I can do do I have any right to dispute the
information they put on file I sent a email to them but the email was
returned as a unknown email address

A: If it's a valid debt, they can not only put a notation on your
credit report that you didn't pay, they can file suit. If they win,
you'll have a judgment against you which will further hurt your
credit.

A: If you dispute the debt, or any portion of it, let the
collection agency know. Do this in writing through the postal
service, mailing it with return receipt. They will verify the debt
and send copies of the verification on to you.
If you owe the debt, as your post implies you do, pay it.
It's the right thing to do. If you don't owe it, don't pay it.
